Jamaica Geography

Jamaica is located in Central America just under the country Cuba and to the left of the country Haiti. Jamaica is not a very large country as you can see in the map above. The Capital of Jamaica is Kingston. Jamaica features very nice beaches with warm and clear waters since it is in the Caribbean Sea.

The image above is the flag of jamaica. The Jamaican flag was adopted in August 6, 1962. Gold symbolizes the shining sun, black symbolizes hardships, and green represents the land. The Flag was originally designed with horizontal stripes but it was too similar to the Tanganyikan flag.

The jamaican people are english speaking (because Jamaica was an english colony) and they are black. Kingston, the capital of Jamaica is located right next to the sea. It is a very beautiful place with many nice buildings. KIngston also has many trees full with life and very nice green lands.

A typical jamaican food is cuisine. It is a very healthy food because it is made with many unprocessed foods like meat, fish, beans and many other vegetables.
